"Shahed-238" hit Mykolaiv, "Molniya" hit the community: Russians attacked civilians again

In the evening of 22 August 2026 Russian forces carried out two drone strikes on Mykolaiv and the Halytsynivska community. In the regional center an outbuilding was damaged, and in the community as a result of the attack a 38-year-old woman was wounded and a private house was damaged. The consequences were reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

In Mykolaiv the Russian army struck with a drone of the “Shahed-238” type. As a result of the attack an outbuilding was damaged. According to preliminary information, people were not injured. This was reported by the acting head of the Mykolaiv RMA Heorhii Reshetilov. Almost simultaneously the Halytsynivska community near Mykolaiv also came under attack. There, Russian occupiers used a drone of the “Molniya” type.

As a result of this strike a 38-year-old woman was injured. She was given the necessary medical care. According to the OVA, the woman will continue treatment on an outpatient basis. A private residential house was also damaged by the Russian drone.

In just one evening Russian forces used against Mykolaiv and settlements near the city two different types of strike drones – the jet-powered “Shahed-238” and the “Molniya”. In both cases civilian objects were damaged, and a person was injured in the Halytsynivska community.
