A track and field athlete from Mykolaiv won three medals at the Ukrainian Championships

From 26 to 29 July in Ivano-Frankivsk the Ukrainian athletics championship for boys and girls born in 2011–2012 took place. The competitions featured the strongest young athletes from across the country.

A pupil of Youth Sports School No. 5, Yana Rudenko, represented Mykolaiv and won three medals at the championship — a gold and two bronzes.

Results of the Mykolaiv athlete:

• discus throw — 1st place, result 40.51 m;
• shot put (3 kg) — 3rd place, result 11.99 m;
• hammer throw — 3rd place, result 37.56 m;
• javelin throw — 4th place, result 34.33 m.

The athlete was trained by coach Anatoliy Moroz.
