Two "golds" and team "silver": Mykolaiv track and field athletes became vice-champions of Ukraine

Athletes of the MSDYUSSHOR for athletics won 2nd place overall at the Ukrainian Junior Championships, which took place July 4–5, 2026 in Lviv.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council on July 10, 2026.

Anton Smiyan became the winner in the 400 meters and in the 400 meters hurdles.

Vitaliy Karpenko took the silver medal in the 100 meters.

The bronze medalists in the 4×100 meters relay were Vitaliy Karpenko, Artem Tomchuk and Yehor Kochetov.

Another bronze medal in the 4×400 meters relay was won by Vitaliy Karpenko, Anton Smiyan and Yehor Kochetov.

Among the girls, the bronze medalists in the 4×100 meters relay were Kseniia Lutsenko, Anastasiia Alemaskina and Maria Fedorenko.

The athletes were prepared for the competitions by coaches Marina Chumachenko, Alla Kovpak, Iryna Shapovalova and Viktoriia Kiliarska.
