Three first-place finishes in two days: young track and field athletes from Mykolaiv made a big splash at the All-Ukrainian competitions

Young athletes from Mykolaiv won three “golds” at the nationwide athletics triathlon competitions. The success of the students of MSDYUSSHOR in athletics was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.

The competitions took place from May 8 to 9, 2026 in Ivano-Frankivsk. There was the III stage of the All-Ukrainian athletics triathlon competitions among boys and girls. Mykolaiv athletes proudly represented their native city and won top-tier awards in as many as three triathlon disciplines.

Olesya Kshebit took first place in the triathlon 60 m + 300 m + 600 m.

Anna Obukhova became the winner in the triathlon 60 m + 50 m hurdles + 300 m.

Oleksandr Yakubovskyi won first place in the triathlon 60 m + long jump + high jump.

The young athletes were coached by Ivan Hrynyk, Leonid Borovskyi, Kateryna Nikitina, Alla Kovpak and Maryna Chumachenko.

These results once again show that even during the war Mykolaiv sports schools continue to raise strong and motivated children who are able to compete at the national level and bring victories back to the city.
