A Russian missile wiped a house off the ground: parents and 3 children killed in Radushne
Eldest son is defending Ukraine, while a Russian missile killed his family: tragedy in Radushne
In the night before 30 July 2026, Russian occupying forces struck the village of Radushne in the Novopil community, located near Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with a ballistic missile. The missile hit a private residential area and destroyed the house where the large Voronov family lived.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, the attack killed 6 people, including 3 children: a girl aged 6 years and boys aged 11 and 17 years. Private houses were destroyed and damaged, and a search-and-rescue operation was underway at the impact site.
The number of wounded in the Novopil community rose to 9 people. Six of the injured are in hospitals. Among those hospitalized are boys aged 6 and 15 years, whose conditions doctors assess as moderate. Several people were reported missing after the missile strike.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that a Russian missile destroyed the home of the Voronov family. Living there were mother Olena, father Artem, their 7 children — Mark, Dominika, Zahariy, Azariy Ilay, Federica, Emilia and Viorika — as well as one-and-a-half-year-old grandson Artem.
The couple’s eldest son, the father of little Artem, is currently defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Defense Forces. At the moment of the Russian strike his relatives were at home.
As of the afternoon of 30 July, the deaths of the parents — Olena and Artem — and their children Mark, Azariy Ilay and Emilia were officially confirmed. The fate of Dominika, Zahariy, Federica, Viorika and the one-and-a-half-year-old Artem was being clarified. The official total number of victims of the attack is 6 people, although the identity of the sixth deceased was not publicly disclosed.
Because of the extensive destruction, examinations were ordered to definitively identify the deceased. The house of the large family was almost completely destroyed by a Russian ballistic missile.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the tragedy, emphasized that Ukraine’s requests for interceptor missiles for Patriot systems concern saving specific people and families who remain defenseless against Russian ballistic missiles.
“This Russian evil can only be stopped by the whole world. No one in the world can be left alone against such terror. And when we say that Ukraine needs missiles for “Patriots”, when we seek capabilities to defend ourselves from Russian ballistic missiles, we are not talking about abstractions. We are talking about exactly such families, about exactly such people, who can live if there is something to shoot down Russian missiles — if partners help with interceptors.”
The President called for showing the consequences of Russian terror to decision-makers in the Pentagon, European capitals and other countries capable of strengthening Ukraine’s air defense. He stressed that Ukraine needs missiles for air defense to stop Russian “Iskanders” and save civilian families.
