Dangerous walk to school: the broken sidewalk in Korabelnyi hasn't been repaired for six months

To the editorial office of Korabelov.info March 20 2026 a resident of the Korabelnyi District contacted us, reporting a dangerous condition of the pedestrian sidewalk near the Oleg Olzhych School (formerly Secondary School No. 1). According to him, the problem began back in the summer of 2025, when renovation of the school’s basement premises began. In the autumn, during the delivery of construction materials by trucks, one of the lorries, leaving the school’s premises, damaged part of the sidewalk. More than half a year has passed since then, but no restoration work has been carried out, and the surface continues to deteriorate.

Local residents emphasize that schoolchildren, their parents and other neighborhood inhabitants use this stretch every day. People are outraged because just a few years ago a modern and convenient sidewalk was installed here, which is now in an emergency condition.

Concerned residents ask the school administration to respond to the situation and help ensure the prompt repair of the damaged section.
