Likely explosive areas were found in the parks and cemeteries of Mykolaiv
DanChurchAid's representative office in Ukraine has identified potentially dangerous locations in the city's public spaces
In Mykolaiv, during a non-technical survey conducted by the mine action operator — the DanChurchAid representation in Ukraine — locations with suspected explosive ordnance contamination have been recorded.
The press service of the Mykolaiv City Council reported on the results of the survey.
Potentially dangerous areas have already been equipped with warning signs and cordoned off with red-and-white tape. Risk zones may be located in open areas and parks, as well as in city cemeteries.
The city authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and strictly follow safety rules. If suspicious objects are found, they recommend following the “three NOs” rule: do not approach, do not touch, and do not panic.
Suspicious finds should be reported immediately to emergency services by calling 101 or 102.
