Five fires in one day in Mykolaiv region: residential building saved — State Emergency Service report
In Voznesensk, rescuers extinguished a fire in a wooden outbuilding
In the Mykolaiv region, 5 fires broke out in one day, 4 of them in private residences. No one was injured. The State Emergency Service published these figures on November 5, drawing attention to the colder weather.
In Voznesensk, a wooden outbuilding caught fire on the grounds of a private property. Rescuers extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to the nearby residential building.
In 2 other cases, people put out the fires before State Emergency Service units arrived:
- In Pivdennoukrainsk, a gas burner caught fire. The likely cause was a breach of fire safety rules while using gas appliances. The owners put out the fire.
- In a settlement in the Vesnianska territorial community of Mykolaiv district, a chimney at a country house caught fire. The small fire was also put out by the residents themselves.
Another 2 fires broke out in Mykolaiv — an electrical distribution board and a plastic container were on fire.
The causes of the fires are being investigated.
