Shelling ignited 2 hectares of dry vegetation: State Emergency Service daily report in Mykolaiv region
In Mykolaiv, neighbors put out a food fire in a nine-story building themselves
Over the past day, October 5, units of the State Emergency Service (SES) extinguished 7 fires in Mykolaiv Oblast. The cause of one of the blazes was Russian shelling.
In their daily summary, the rescuers described the following incidents:
- In an open area of the Mykolaiv district, dry vegetation caught fire due to Russian shelling. The fire covered 2 ha.
- In Mykolaiv and the Mykolaiv district, dry grass and plastic trash containers burned.
- In the Buzka territorial community of Voznesensk Raion, firefighters extinguished the roof of an unused house. The fire area was 40 sq. m.
Another incident occurred in Mykolaiv, in an apartment of a nine-story building. Neighbors noticed in time that food was burning on the stove and extinguished it themselves.
The rescuers who arrived on the scene ventilated the apartment and the stairwell. They also spoke with the owner of the dwelling and reminded him of the basic fire safety rules.
