"Tigers" on a bomber: National Guardsmen carried out an unusual evacuation of cats from occupied Oleshky
They could have died of starvation: six cats were evacuated from occupied Kherson region
Service members of the RUPbAK SpP “Bolharychi” BBS SpP company of the 11th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine carried out an unusual evacuation operation in occupied territory. With the help of local residents, the fighters rescued 6 cats that had been left without owners and were at risk of dying from starvation.
To save the animals, the military used a cage specially designed for this operation. It was in this cage that the six cats were transported to a safe location. The most unusual part of the operation was the evacuation itself. The fighters carried the animals through the sky across the Dnipro under the belly of one of the heavy bombers. In the air the servicemen covered more than 10 kilometers.
As a result, all six furry passengers remained alive and unharmed. The rescued cats are expected to find new owners and homes soon.
