Ukraine is creating its own Starlink analogue — Zelensky
The President also considers it justified to use satellite communications to carry out strikes against the Russian Federation
Ukraine is working on its own satellite system — an analogue of Starlink. President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters about this on Sunday, October 4. He did not provide details of the development.
The president described the state of the work as follows:
“There are developments. We are working on a similar Starlink.”
Separately, Zelensky said he believes it would be fair to allow Ukraine to use communications from Starlink satellites to carry out strikes against Russia. Explaining his position, he said that other states would share the relevant technologies with Russia in the near future:
“We know that some states will share the relevant technologies with Russia at the end of this year, at the beginning of the next.”
