New gyms of the sports complex “Zorya” in Mykolaiv are planned to open in December 2026. Several equipment procurements are being prepared: the expected cost of strength machines is 3.5 million hryvnias, and together with cardio machines expenses may reach about 4.9 million hryvnias.

In the electronic system documentation on ProZorro for strength equipment, 44 items are listed. The list includes:

a cable rack and a four-position station;
machines for leg, chest, back and abdominal muscles;
a Smith machine, a leg press and a hack machine;
hyperextensions and benches;
a biceps machine adapted for use from a wheelchair.

For free-weight exercises they want to purchase racks, sets of dumbbells, plates, several types of bars and collars. The documentation also provides for step platforms, Swedish ladders and Yevminov devices.

The customer is the communal institution “Central City Stadium”. The supplier must deliver the equipment by December 31, 2026.

What else is being purchased for the new gym

This is already the second major purchase of equipment for “Zorya” recently. In September “Central City Stadium” announced a tender for 1.4 million hryvnias to purchase 12 cardio machines:

five treadmills;
two ellipticals;
two exercise bikes;
a stepper;
a rowing machine;
a ski trainer.

The director “Central City Stadium” Vyacheslav Misarenko explained that all the equipment is intended for the new gym, and the procurement was split into several parts.

We plan to open the gyms in December. Tender procedures are currently underway. The volume of equipment has been divided into three: the first tender, the first part of the tender has already passed — we are preparing the contract. We will conduct tender procedures for the second and third volumes.

All interested residents of Mykolaiv will be able to visit the gym. The price of sessions has not yet been determined.

Exact calculations are not yet available.

Earlier, in response to an information request, the stadium management noted that the procurement should take into account the needs of visitors with limited mobility. At that time, the planned funding amount was stated at 4,549,546 hryvnias.

These are machines for citizens to exercise, including groups with limited mobility. The machines will be installed in gyms that are being renovated by the Department of Capital Construction. Funding of 4,549,546 hryvnias is planned for the purchase of machines.

During 2026 the complex also plans to repair the roof, prepare the surface and the drainage system for the installation of a new artificial turf on the football field. In 2025 the capital overhaul of two sports halls of “Zorya” cost 4.3 million hryvnias.
