Ship under attack again, school on fire: Russians attacked the Mykolaiv region with "Shaheds" and "Molniyas"

During August 4 and the night into August 5, 2026 Russian forces attacked the port infrastructure of the Mykolaiv district and the Horokhivska community. As a result of the strikes a civilian vessel and a school building were damaged, and a fire broke out. No people were harmed.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration as of the morning August 5.

In the first half of the day on August 4 the occupiers launched a strike UAV of the type “Shahed” at the port infrastructure of the Mykolaiv district. As a result of the attack another civilian vessel was damaged. According to preliminary information, no people were injured.

That same night the Horokhivska community of Bashtanka district came under an intensified enemy strike. Russian forces attacked it 8 times with drones of the type “Molniya”.

As a result of one of the strikes a school building was damaged. A fire broke out in the educational institution. No information about fatalities or injured people has been received.
