More appeals, fewer registrations: Korabelnyi District Police summed up the six-month results
20 scams - not a single suspicion
In the first 6 months of 2026, Police Station No.3 of the Mykolaiv District Directorate, which serves the Korabelnyi district of the city of Mykolaiv, received 6392 reports and notifications of criminal offenses and other incidents.
These figures were provided by the Main Department of the National Police in Mykolaiv Oblast in response to an information request from the editorial office of Korabelov.info. The document dated 28 July 2026 was signed by the Head of the Information and Analytical Support Department, Serhii Sukhlyak.
How the police handled residents’ reports

Of the 6392 received reports, law enforcement found signs of a criminal offense in 2010 of them. At the same time, 158 notifications were entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations. This is approximately 7.9% of the reports in which the police identified signs of a crime.
In another table, the police indicated 183 registered criminal offenses, excluding proceedings closed for legally provided grounds.
The figures 158 and 183 are given in different sections of the official response. The police did not explain the methodological difference between them, so they cannot be directly equated or summed.

Thus, a suspicion was notified in 71 of the 183 registered criminal offenses. That is 38.8%. Another 112 offenses, or 61.2%, remained without a notification of suspicion at the time the statistics were compiled.
The number of completed investigations — 402 — exceeds the number of offenses registered during the half-year because this figure covers all proceedings that were in progress, including those initiated earlier.

The worst outcome among common types of crime was recorded in fraud cases. The police registered 20 such offenses, but as of 30 June 2026 no one had been notified of suspicion in any of the proceedings.
Results for thefts were significantly better: suspicions were announced in 21 of 31 proceedings. In cases of illegal handling of weapons and ammunition, suspicions exist in 7 of 9 instances.
Of the 12 registered drug crimes, a notification of suspicion appeared in 4 proceedings. For all registered cases of intentional homicide, serious bodily injury, robbery and hooliganism, persons were notified of suspicion.
At the same time, the table does not record criminal proceedings under the articles on domestic violence, rape and robbery with violence.

Among the three territorial stations, the Korabelna police have the highest share of offenses for which persons were notified of suspicion — 38.8%.
For Police Station No.1 this figure is 24.6%, for Station No.2 — 24.5%. At the same time, the indicator for the Mykolaiv District Police Department itself is higher — 48.3%.

Compared with the first half of 2022, the number of reports to the police increased by 329, and the notifications with signs of criminal offenses more than doubled. At the same time, the number of notifications entered into the URPI fell from 210 to 158, that is by 52, or almost 25%.
The police also noted separately that cases of treason, collaborationist activities, dissemination of information about the movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, justification of Russian aggression and violations of the laws and customs of war are investigated by the Securit y Service of Ukraine. Therefore, these crimes are not reflected in the provided statistics and do not represent the full security picture of the Korabelnyi district.
