Pipes for 49 years: 400 meters of the heating network are being renewed on Korabeliv Avenue

In the Korabelnyi District of Mykolaiv a large-scale replacement of the main heating network is underway on Korabeliv Avenue. This was reported on July 16, 2026 by the Mykolaiv City Council.

Specialists from OKP “Mykolaivoblteploenergo” are renewing about 400 meters of 500 mm diameter pipeline between heat chambers. For the works they are using pre-insulated pipes with a service life of up to 49 years. This network supplies heat to about 70 residential buildings, as well as schools, a kindergarten and medical facilities. The work on the section is planned to be completed in approximately three weeks.

At the same time, other heating networks in the city are being updated. On Kosmonavtiv Street approximately 600 meters of new pipes have already been laid, and in the Namyv neighborhood they plan to replace another 400 meters. In total in 2026 in Mykolaiv about 10 kilometers of heating networks are to be renewed. The materials for the works were received by the city from international partners UNOPS, and the installation is carried out by employees of “Mykolaivoblteploenergo”.
