Salmonellosis at a poultry factory in Mykolaiv region

The Main Department of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Mykolaiv Oblast updated the list of problematic localities for contagious animal diseases as of 1 July 2026, which included Bratska Poultry Factory LLC in the settlement of Arbuzynka, Pervomaiskyi district, due to a registered case of salmonellosis in poultry.

The enterprise has operated in the poultry sector since 2017; its main KVED (industry code) is the breeding of domestic poultry.

Alongside this, other active outbreak sites of animal diseases remain in the region.

• Leukosis in cattle — the «Maslyanoho» farm (settlement Kazanka, Bashtanskyi district).
• Rabies in cattle — the village of Chaikivka of the Vradiivka community.
• Rabies in cats — the village Kamyana Balka and the settlement Kryve Ozero.
• Rabies in dogs — the quarry of LLC «VIP-TRADER» in the Synyukhinobrodska community.

The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection reports that it is carrying out anti-epizootic measures and conducting monitoring to prevent further spread of dangerous diseases among animals.
