"What sedatives to take before a visit?": Residents of Korabelnyi complain about store staff
Unwillingness to provide consultation and the lack of a simple "good day"
Residents of the Korabelnyi district complain about poor service in the “Gradus” chain of stores. Thus, 1 July 2026 one of the local residents published her complaint in a group on the social network Facebook.
“Korabelnyi district, please share which sedative medicines you need to take to go into this “Gradus” on Korabeliv Avenue near the children’s hospital and not snap back at the service staff. Always unhappy faces, rolling eyes and generally an attitude as if people have come to their home to eat for free”.
The resident’s post sparked a lively discussion. People began sharing their impressions of the service not only at the address indicated, but also at other stores in the chain. Some users advised calling the hotline or buying the necessary goods elsewhere.
Tonya V.: “Call the hotline and the problem will be resolved”.
Volodymyr T.: “Every store has a customer corner with all the information. Or record the behavior on video and contact consumer protection if you’ve really run into a brick wall”.
Oksana H.: “Don’t go to “Gradus” — go to a supermarket. They have a huge selection and nobody will be rude to you. If you need something like Jim Beam, there’s a “Rozetka” in the crooked building. They have expensive quality drinks and reasonable sellers”.
Valentyna S.: “The same thing happened to us at the “Gradus” on Ternopilska. My friend and I were going to a birthday, the birthday girl called and asked to buy an expensive bottle of champagne. There was a “Gradus” nearby. The saleswoman went outside to smoke with acquaintances, and we were standing there with our need. Since I don’t buy sparkling wine often, I needed advice, which she gave very reluctantly. It left an unpleasant memory. I rarely went there because of the off-putting name of the chain, and now even less so”.
Ilona Sh.: “I’ve been there too, and they also had unhappy faces. I get the feeling they stand there under the barrel of a gun. If you don’t like your job, don’t work there! People in such hard times expect a good morning, good attitude and a smile from you! If I sold my products like that, all my customers would run away from me”.
Olha A.: “Oh, that happened to me. My mood was ruined because I opened the fridge the wrong way to take a bottle of Pepsi. I opened the wrong door”.
Svitlana K.: “Don’t go to them at all. There’s a “Mida”” a little further down”
Oleksandra T.: “They are constantly with unhappy faces, and you can’t not go in because you’re walking with a small child who wants it right now! And how do you explain to a child that in this store there are women with unhappy faces and that they are unhappy when small children come in?”
Yana I.: “Order 10 hot dogs from them — you’ll not only see the facial expression, you might also hear some sounds”.
Iryna V.: “Don’t pay attention. The employer determines the staff…”
Alyona N.: “You just haven’t been to Okeanivska, on the alley. At 17:00 the grill is already cleaned and they don’t cook anything, even though they’re open until 21:00 and they get a lot of sausages delivered there. People called the hotline. Management’s reaction — zero, they just don’t care. This problem with that “Gradus” has been going on since last year”.
Kristina M.: “The same at Liski near School No.52. One woman is always sulky, around 19:00 the grill is already off and she doesn’t want to do anything. There are many similar situations around the city”.
Yuliya Sh.: “No ‘good day’, no ‘goodbye’… Quite a madam…”
