It only operated for a day: three sprinkler nozzles were stolen in Vitovsky Square

In the Korablev District of Mykolaiv, unidentified persons stole part of the equipment of the automatic irrigation system in Vitovsky Square. The theft was discovered the day after the restoration works were completed.

This was reported by the municipal enterprise “Mykolaiv Parks”.

The enterprise’s workers carried out a full range of restoration works on the automatic irrigation system. 24 June 2026 it was successfully launched.

However, already on 25 June 2026 the municipal workers found that overnight unknown persons had torn out and stolen 3 irrigation nozzles.

At the municipal enterprise “Mykolaiv Parks” they appealed to the city’s residents, especially to those living in the Korablev District, urging them to safeguard public property and respect the work of the people who carry out the city’s maintenance.

“We appeal to the residents of Mykolaiv, especially to the inhabitants of the Korablev District: let us appreciate the beauty and the changes being created for our city. Let us safeguard shared property and respect the work of the people who work every day for the comfort of residents. We want Vitovsky Square to become even better, and we work on this every day. Over the past year the square has literally received a second life and already delights the city’s residents with its renewed beauty”.
