Fire reached a summer house: in the Mykolaiv region a woman sustained burns during the fire

Over the past day 16 June 2026 in the territory of Mykolaiv region 11 fires were recorded. In one of the incidents a woman born in 1942 was injured.

The most serious fire occurred on the territory of the garden association “Aviator” in the Kostiantynivka community of Mykolaiv district. A summer house, dry grass and rubbish on the household plot caught fire. During firefighting operations rescuers were informed about an injured woman born in 1942. She sustained burns.

An emergency medical team was called to the scene. After examination, medics hospitalized the injured woman to a medical facility. Other fires, according to rescuers, were mostly related to ignitions of dry vegetation and rubbish in open areas, as well as within private households.

Thanks to the prompt actions of the firefighters it was possible to prevent the further spread of the blaze. They saved from destruction four summer houses and one outbuilding. The total area of the fires for the day amounted to more than 2 hectares.

From the State Emergency Service (SES) to extinguish the fires were involved 36 rescuers and 9 units of special equipment. Assistance was also provided by the local fire protection unit of the village of Peresadivka.
