Six months of searching - and another blow: in Korabelnyi, strangers took the "lost" cat
The kitten was found, but he is not at home: a story has unfolded involving the "new owners"
To the Telegram community “Mykolaivskyi P’yatak” on June 1, 2026 came an emotional appeal from a resident of the Korabelnyi District who has been searching for her cat named Bentley for half a year. According to the post’s author, the animal went missing when she was elsewhere and her grandmother did not watch the cat. After that, the family plastered the neighborhood with notices and waited a long time for any news about their pet.
The woman notes that she did not know about the “Mykolaivskyi P’yatak” community before, but caring people shared her notice there. However, for a long time there were no calls or messages. Later the owner did manage to trace her cat. She recognized Bentley by a distinctive feature — he has a noticeable tooth on his lower jaw. However, after calling the number listed in the notice, it turned out that the cat had already been given to other people.
According to the woman, the animal was taken by people who presented themselves as the owners, but, she claims, provided no proof that the cat belonged to them. The author suggests that these people may be among the community members. The post’s author appealed to the people who took the cat and asked them to get in touch. She emphasizes that the family loves Bentley very much, is waiting for him to come home and is open to dialogue, including about a reward.
The woman searching for her cat Bentley appealed to those who may have taken the animal, asking them to return the pet to the family.
“I appeal to you, the people who took my little one. I beg you, contact me, tell me what you want for my cat, what reward is needed to bring our cat home. We love him very much and are waiting; I am ready to talk and I ask you to treat this situation with humanity.”
