A Ukrainian was deported from Poland after a trip to a kindergarten: over 2‰ blood alcohol level and a child in the car
Picked up the child from kindergarten, but then left the country himself: the end of a Ukrainian's drunken trip
In Poland law enforcement detained a 37-year-old citizen of Ukraine who, while intoxicated, arrived by Kia at a kindergarten to pick up a child. The incident occurred on Friday, April 24 2026, in Lublin. This was reported by the Polish police.
Kindergarten staff noticed the man’s condition when he appeared at the facility. They smelled alcohol on him and immediately called the police. As it turned out, the man had arrived at the kindergarten by car, and his 11-year-old son was in the vehicle.
Road patrol officers were dispatched to the scene. During the check, a breathalyzer showed that the 37-year-old driver had over 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. After that, he was detained. The man was charged with driving a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a child. Further actions in the case were carried out by officers from the 3rd police precinct. At their request, the citizen of Ukraine was expelled from the territory of Poland.
The Polish police reminded that driving a vehicle while intoxicated is punishable by up to 3 years imprisonment.
