Emergency repairs have left part of Mykolaiv without water

October 29, water supply was temporarily suspended in several areas of Mykolaiv due to emergency repair work. Repairs in all the listed areas are expected to be completed by approximately 8:00 p.m.

The outage affected the following areas:

• From Central Avenue to Admiralska Street, and from Artyleriiska Street to Shneersona Street. Work in this area is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
• From Dmytra Petukhova Street to Olshantsiv Street, and from Bohoiavlenskyi Avenue to the bypass road.
• From Bohoiavlenskyi Avenue to Rybna Street, and from Les Kurbas Street to Simeina Street.

The exact time when water service will be restored will depend on the progress of the emergency repairs, so the announced timeframe may change.

Separately, Ihor Bloshko, the anti-corruption officer at Mykolaivvodokanal Municipal Enterprise, criticized the company’s plan to begin superchlorinating tap water in Mykolaiv on November 2. In his view, the proposed method of flushing the network raises questions.
