12 killed after strike on Kramatorsk: two intercity buses at the epicenter
The consequences of the attack are still being assessed; an investigation into a war crime has been launched
Russian forces attacked Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast this morning, Thursday, October 8. Twelve people are known to have been killed. Two scheduled buses were at the epicenter of the strike.
According to preliminary information, another 14 people may have been injured. The full extent of the attack is still being assessed.
The strike was carried out at approximately 10:00. Russian forces may have used a guided UMPB D-30 SN munition, according to preliminary reports.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Procedural oversight is being provided by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
