An FPV drone struck the windshield of an energy workers’ vehicle in Mykolaiv Oblast
The workers put out the fire and returned home unharmed
An enemy FPV drone attacked an emergency response crew from Mykolaivoblenergo JSC in the Mykolaiv region after dark yesterday, October 7. The strike hit the windshield of the company vehicle.
The crew was working at an off-site location when the employees heard a drone approaching. It did not explode: after colliding with the vehicle, the drone broke apart and caught fire.
The energy workers returned to the vehicle and extinguished the fire. By then, other enemy drones could already be heard nearby.
After completing their work, the employees left the attack site. They drove across fields to avoid attracting the drones’ attention. Despite the danger, all crew members made it home safe and unharmed.
