The body of a man with gunshot wounds was found on a road in Odesa

Today morning, September 30, a man with gunshot wounds was found dead on Lyustdorf Road in Odesa. The regional police reported the incident.

The body was lying on the roadway next to a Chevrolet. It was noticed by officers of the Patrol Police Department who were patrolling the area. According to preliminary information, the deceased may have been driving that vehicle.

At the same location, patrol officers detained the driver of a ZAZ “Tavria”: he tried to flee. Urgent investigative actions are being carried out with the detainee. The report does not specify what role he may have played in the man’s death.

A detective-operational team of the territorial police unit and the forensic laboratory of the regional police investigative department are involved in the work at the scene. Law enforcement officers are clarifying all the circumstances of what happened.

At the time of the report, the police were still deciding whether to enter information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.
