13 years in prison: court sentenced a pastor for raping a minor
They met at church services: the man was convicted of violence against a girl
In Kyiv Oblast a court sentenced a pastor to 13 years imprisonment for raping a minor girl. The man met the victim when she was 13 years old and she attended church services.
About the verdict handed down in Obukhiv district reported September 21 2026 the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. In the agency’s official summary it states that the man was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment for raping a minor.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the man met the girl in 2022 when she attended church services. In August 2022 he arranged to meet the 13-year-old, picked her up by car and raped her. Approximately a year and a half later, when the victim had already turned 15, the man continued to commit sexual acts against her. As the investigation established, for this the pastor promised the girl money.
The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to 13 years imprisonment.
