Operation "Vivaldi": The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated Serednie and cleared four districts in the Donetsk region
75 km² cleared, another 10 km² de-occupied: Biletsky revealed details of the offensive
The Third Army Corps officially confirmed the conduct of the offensive operation “Vivaldi” in the north of Donetsk region. Ukrainian forces liberated the settlement Serednie, and also eliminated pockets of Russian infiltration in Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, Yarova and on the outskirts of Korovyi Yar. This was reported by the corps press service on September 15, 2026, and details of the operation were revealed for the first time by its commander, Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky.
According to the Third Corps, the operation was conducted for a long time in a mode of information silence. During this period units cleared 75 km² of territory of enemy infiltration, and another 10 km² were deoccupied. The corps claims that the offensive dealt a serious blow to the combat capability of the Russian 20th and 25th Armies.
According to the Third Army Corps assessment, enemy losses at this stage of the operation amount to:
- about 1,500 servicemen;
- over 12,000 drones;
- hundreds of armored vehicles;
- artillery systems;
- motor vehicles.
Separately, unmanned systems units worked against Russian logistics. The corps claims that as a result of the strikes the enemy had to move the delivery of fuel and lubricants beyond the occupied territory of Ukraine — to the Voronezh Oblast of the Russian Federation. It is also reported that a pipeline was shut down and warehouses were relocated.
According to the Third Army Corps, the following units were involved in the offensive:
- 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade;
- 125th OVMBR;
- a battalion-tactical group of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade;
- 3rd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion;
- 25th OPTB of the corps;
- attached 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade;
- 85th Tactical Group of the 8th Special Operations Regiment;
- a special unit of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense “Artan”;
- 10th Mobile Border Detachment “DOZOR”.
Biletsky at the same time urged not to rush to make forecasts about the final goal of the Ukrainian offensive. According to him, open sources have already suggested that Ukrainian forces aim to reach the Chornyi Zherebets River.
“Our operation is called “Vivaldi”. And Vivaldi, as is known, has four seasons. And this is only the first of them. So follow our official reports and do not rush with spoilers. There will be good news,” the commander of the Third Army Corps said.
Thus, the military do not disclose the further plan of the operation and its next stages, emphasizing the need to maintain information silence.
