A Russian drone struck the central SBU building in Kyiv: seven people were injured

During the day on Friday, September 4, fragments of an enemy drone fell in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv. A fire broke out on the roof of a non-residential building afterward, city mayor Vitali Klitschko reported.

According to city authorities, seven people were injured in the attack. Six of the wounded were taken to the inpatient wards of municipal hospitals.

Local social media pages reported that drone fragments fell in the central part of the capital, near the Golden Gate.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that a Russian drone struck the central building of the Security Service of Ukraine on Volodymyrska Street. It is located opposite the Saint Sophia Cathedral.

According to the head of state, the drone was directed straight into the office of the head of the SBU. All emergency services are working at the scene, and the injured are being given the necessary assistance.

Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the head of the SBU, Oleksandr Poklad, to prepare a response to the Russian strike.

Earlier there were reports of a shooting between the SBU and the GUR, after which a GUR employee was remanded in custody.
