Russian attack on Zhytomyr: two police officers killed, at least 20 people injured
Banderol-type drones damaged the building of the regional police department, where a fire broke out
Zhytomyr suffered an attack by Russian forces using “Banderol”-type drones. As a result of the strikes, two police officers were killed and at least 20 people were injured.
The building of the Main Department of the National Police in Zhytomyr Oblast was hit. After the shelling, a fire broke out on the roof and the fourth floor.
The consequences of the attack were reported by the acting head of the National Police of Ukraine, Maksym Tsutskyrydze.
“The enemy again strikes not only buildings. He deliberately attacks people who work every day for the safety of others. Today the building of the Main Department of the National Police in Zhytomyr Oblast was hit. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out on the roof and the fourth floor,” — said Maksym Tsutskyrydze.
According to him, police, rescuers and other emergency services are working at the scene.
An attack was also reported in Kherson, where an attack drone struck a house and hit a child’s crib with a two-year-old inside.
