In Mykolaiv region, a Volkswagen and a motorcycle collided: 16-year-old driver in hospital
An accident occurred at the intersection of Heroes of Vradiivshchyna Street and Heroes of Ukraine Street
A road traffic accident involving a passenger car and a motorcycle occurred in the village of Vradiivka in Mykolaiv region. As a result of the collision, the 16-year-old rider of the two-wheeled vehicle was injured.
The accident occurred on September 2 at around 18:50 at the intersection of Heroiv Vradiivshchyny and Heroiv Ukrainy streets. According to the Mykolaiv region police, a Volkswagen Caddy driven by a 35-year-old woman and a Viper ZS200A-3 motorcycle ridden by a 16-year-old boy collided.
The injured motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, where he is currently being treated. The 15-year-old motorcycle passenger was not injured. The Volkswagen driver was also unharmed. The car driver and the motorcycle passenger refused medical assistance.
Law enforcement opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road traffic safety rules. The article’s sanction provides for up to three years of restriction of liberty and deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
Police are determining the causes and circumstances of the collision. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Recall that on Sunday, August 30, in the Vradiivka community in the Pervomaisk district there was also an accident involving a female motorcyclist. The motorcycle rider and her 5-year-old passenger were injured then.
