In the Mykolaiv region, a drunk female motorcyclist was involved in a traffic accident with a 5-year-old child
An accident occurred near Bohemka in the Vradiivka community: a child remains in the hospital
On Sunday, August 30, a road traffic accident involving a motorcycle occurred in the Vradiivka community of the Pervomaiskyi district. Its 26-year-old female rider and a 5-year-old passenger were injured. The Pervomaiskyi district police department reported the accident.
The collision occurred at about 18:40 on the “Novomykolaivske — Kovalivka” road, near the village of Bohemka. According to preliminary information, the rider of the Forte BS-200 motorcycle lost control, left the roadway, after which the vehicle fell onto the road surface.
As a result of the accident, the woman and the child sustained injuries of varying severity. Both victims were taken to a medical facility, and the 5-year-old passenger remains in hospital.
During testing, the rider was found to have 0.6 per mille of alcohol.
Investigators have opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article concerns violations of road traffic safety or vehicle operation rules by persons who operate vehicles while intoxicated.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the causes and all circumstances of the accident. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
