Germany will deliver additional missiles to Ukraine for air defense

Germany will provide Ukraine with additional missiles for air defense systems. The Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, confirmed the decision during a conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The head of state said this in his address.

Today we have a decision from Germany — there will be additional missiles for air defense. The Chancellor confirmed this to me today. Thank you, Friedrich

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine, together with international partners, continues to strengthen its air defenses and is working to meet all needs for means of protecting its airspace.

At the same time, Ukrainian manufacturers are accelerating the development of their own technologies and systems designed to counter new tactics and types of Russian drones.

Earlier it was reported that the states of the European Union are to transfer Ukraine interceptor missiles to strengthen air defenses. In particular, these are munitions whose storage life will soon expire.
