In the Kherson region on Sunday, August 9, the list of territories subject to mandatory evacuation was expanded: it was updated to include the villages Krasnopilskе and Charivne of the Borozenska community, the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported.

The official explained that the Borozenska community is under daily Russian strikes, and the geography of the shelling has noticeably expanded recently.

In addition to artillery attacks, according to the regional head, the use of drones against the civilian population of Kherson and surrounding areas is increasing, creating additional threats to residents of frontline settlements.

“We decided to add to the list of settlements of the Kherson region where mandatory evacuation to safe areas is being carried out the villages Krasnopilskе (it is likely referring to Krasnosilske — ed.) and Charivne. There will also be a ban on the entry of families with children here due to the threat to their lives,” — said the head of the Kherson RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin.

By decision of the military administration, restrictions on the entry of families with children will also be introduced in the designated villages, since the presence of minors in an area of constant danger contradicts safety and evacuation policy requirements.

Earlier, authorities reported an expansion of the mandatory evacuation zone in Kherson in response to more intensive Russian shelling of the city and its surroundings.

The information was published on the official Telegram channel of the head of the RMA, which emphasizes the need for the immediate departure of residents from the designated settlements and compliance with the introduced restrictions.
