A ceasefire was announced, while at the front — 147 battles and 7,704 Russian kamikaze drones in 24 hours

General Staff: 2,021 shellings and 12 MLRS strikes; the hottest were Pokrovsk and Huliaipole, only the Orikhiv direction saw no assaults

Despite the declared ceasefire, 147 combat engagements were documented on the front over the past day; the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this intensity of fighting on the morning of May 10.

According to the military summary, Russian units continued massive actions along the entire line of contact: during the day 7704 kamikaze drones were used and 2021 attacks on Defense Forces positions and populated areas were carried out, including 12 strikes from multiple-launch rocket systems.

In response, Ukraine’s missile troops and artillery struck 6 enemy artillery systems, the General Staff noted.

Active assault operations were recorded simultaneously in several sectors. In the Pokrovsk direction Ukrainian units repelled 28 attacks, and in the Huliaipole direction — another 27 attempts by the enemy to advance.

On the South-Slobozhansk sector the enemy assaulted the defenders’ positions 9 times, while on the Kostiantynivka direction 11 attacks were recorded.

On the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions 30 incidents of shelling of Ukrainian positions and populated areas were registered, including strikes by multiple-launch rocket systems, and 2 assault attempts were also documented.

On the Lyman direction Russian forces tried 5 times to break through the defense. On the Sloviansk direction there were 2 assaults, and on the Kramatorsk direction 1 attempt to improve the tactical situation was recorded.

At the same time, on the Orikhiv direction no enemy assault actions were observed during the day.
