A Russian strike in the Kyiv region killed a three-year-old boy, his grandfather, and his grandmother

At night Russian drones struck Pukhivka in the Kyiv region. Three people were killed — a grandfather, a grandmother and their three-year-old grandson.

Another four people were hospitalized: the child’s parents, his 15-year-old brother and a neighbor. A man who came to help the family was wounded during a follow-up strike. The injured were diagnosed with thermal burns and shrapnel wounds.

According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the strike hit an ordinary residential house.

Russian forces also struck civilian infrastructure in Kyiv with six ballistic missiles. At the time of the report, one person was known to have been killed.

Donetsk region, Kharkiv region, Sumy region, Dnipro region, Zaporizhzhia region, Odesa region, Kherson region, Mykolaiv region, Chernihiv region and Poltava region were under shelling.

Volodymyr Zelensky called on partners to increase pressure on Russia, impose new sanctions that would hinder the production of ballistic missiles, and increase protection for Ukrainians.

Among the necessary protective means, the President named ballistic missile defense systems, interceptor missiles for Patriot, SAMP/T, NASAMS, HAWK and Ukrainian F-16s. He thanked partners who are supplying Ukraine with new packages of air defense systems.
