Striking electricity and housing: Russia continues to exert pressure
According to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, as of the morning of May 5, 2026, during the past day Russian forces continued attacks across the region, using drones of various types.
May 4 the enemy struck the region’s energy infrastructure with drones of the “Shahed” type. As a result of this attack there were no casualties.
In the Mykolaiv district, six FPV drone attacks on the Ochakiv community were recorded during the day. According to regional authorities, there are no casualties or injuries.
In the Bashtanskyi district the enemy continued shelling both at night and at dawn. The Snihurivska community was struck three times by drones, reportedly of the “Molniya” type.
As a result of these strikes, an apartment building and a car were damaged. No information about casualties has been reported.
Attacks on the energy infrastructure and the residential sector indicate targeted pressure on the region’s civilian population. In frontline communities such attacks occur regularly and pose a constant threat to residents.
