People in hospitals, the enemy is targeting gas stations: Kim warned residents of the Mykolaiv region
Gas stations have become targets: why civilians are once again paying for the Russian "picture"
Of the 6 people who were wounded as a result of Russian attacks on Mykolaiv Oblast during July 5 and on the morning of July 6, 2026, 4 of the injured were hospitalized. Another 2 people received necessary medical care on an outpatient basis.
The condition of the wounded was reported on the air of the national telethon by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim. According to him, during the repulsion of the enemy attack the air defense forces shot down more than 50 Russian drones, but it was not possible to completely avoid impacts.
In the Nechayanska community a 49-year-old woman was injured and taken to hospital in moderate condition. Later a 45-year-old man independently sought medical help in another region. As a result of the attack a gas station was also damaged, where a fire covering an area of 200 square meters broke out.
During a renewed strike by drones of the type “Shahed/Herbera” on the Novoodeska community a 39-year-old man and a 40-year-old man were injured. Both were hospitalized in a stable condition of moderate severity. The enemy attack damaged another gas station and a power line, and a fire covering an area of 15 square meters broke out on the station’s premises.
Another 2 men aged 61 and 65 sustained minor injuries in the Halytsynivska community as a result of an FPV drone strike. They refused hospitalization. Agricultural machinery and a combine harvester header were also damaged.
Commenting on the latest strikes on civilian infrastructure, Vitalii Kim stated that the Russian occupiers have deliberately concentrated attacks on gas stations, trying to create a propaganda image in response to strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on industrial facilities in the territory of the aggressor state.
“But there are still impacts, and the Russians are concentrating on gas stations. They do this “for the picture”, because our defense forces are attacking their industry. The situation continues to remain dangerous”, – said Vitalii Kim.
The head of the regional military administration urged residents of Mykolaiv Oblast not to remain at gas stations after an air raid alert is announced. Earlier he had already warned that Russian forces had designated gas stations as targets and allocated specific means to strike them.
