Six wounded, two gas stations and fields on fire: Russians attacked the Mykolaiv region with drones

During July 5 and the morning of July 6, 2026, Russian occupiers attacked Mykolaiv Oblast with strike UAVs of the “Shahed/Gerbera” type and FPV drones. As a result of the strikes, six people were injured, and two gas stations, a private house, vehicles, a power line, and agricultural machinery were damaged.

This was reported as of the morning of July 6 by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration and the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast.

In the Nechayanska community, a 49-year-old woman was injured in the attack. She was hospitalized; as of the morning she was in a stable condition of moderate severity. Later, a 45-year-old man independently sought medical help at a facility in another region. The gas station building was also damaged, where a fire covering 200 square meters broke out.

During a repeated “Shahed/Gerbera” attack in the Novoodeska community, two men aged 39 and 40 were wounded. They were hospitalized; doctors assessed both as in a stable condition of moderate severity. The strike damaged a gas station building and a power line, and a fire of 15 square meters broke out on the station’s premises.

Both fires at the gas stations were extinguished by State Emergency Service units.

In the Koblivska community, a private residential house and two vehicles were damaged following the strike UAV attack. No information about casualties there has been reported.

In addition, during the day Russian forces attacked the Ochakivska and Halytsynivska communities five times with FPV drones. During one of the strikes in the Halytsynivska community, men aged 61 and 65 sustained minor injuries. They refused hospitalization.

As a result of that attack, agricultural machinery was damaged and the combine harvester’s header caught fire.

In total, 8 fires broke out on agricultural land in the region, of which 5 were caused by Russian shelling. The fire engulfed 51.5 hectares of standing wheat and 5 hectares each of rapeseed and peas. During firefighting, rescuers managed to save an additional 440.5 hectares of crops from the flames.

Due to the attacks, fields with stubble burned three more times. The burned areas measured 8,000, 2,000 and 500 square meters, respectively. Fires were recorded in Mykolaiv, Pervomaiskyi, Voznesenskyi and Bashtanskyi districts, as well as in the city of Mykolaiv.
