A conflict erupted in the Korabelnyi district over teenagers who were throwing firecrackers at the feet of passersby
A conflict involving teenagers sparked a heated discussion on social media
In the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv, a conflict occurred at the so-called «p’iatak» involving adults and teenagers. The cause was firecrackers that the boys allegedly threw at a woman’s feet.
The corresponding video was posted on social media.
The recording captures teenagers being accused of throwing small firecrackers near the woman. This led to an emotional argument between the boys and the adults. Later, the person who filmed the video intervened in the conflict.
Using firecrackers in courtyards and crowded places is not just fun, it is a potential danger to people nearby. Especially when children, elderly people, or passersby who do not expect a sudden explosion are present. Parents should pay attention to where and how their children spend their time.
In the comments under the video, Mykolaiv residents noted that lately teenagers often entertain themselves with firecrackers without realizing the possible consequences.
“I have one question: where did the children get these firecrackers? Someone sold them these firecrackers. And most likely it was done by adults. So first of all you need to find and punish those who sold firecrackers to children. And, by the way, this situation is not only in the Korabelnyi district. Today on 13th Line in our yard the children were also throwing firecrackers. So some scoundrel is selling firecrackers to children,” — wrote Anna Aleksandrovna.
“Yes, the kids have, of course, become completely brazen, there’s no arguing about that. But I have a question: where did they get the firecrackers?” — added Natali.
Another user told about a similar situation in her yard:
“Under my window, the kids from the building opposite constantly set off firecrackers, excuse me, urinate and smash bottles. They deliberately come out of their yard and cause harm in others’. I’m already tired of chasing them away. If mothers see this and suspect that one of their children might be among them, a sincere request — talk to your kids. Otherwise I will douse them with water. Don’t tell me whether that is right or not. I myself am a mother of two, but for some reason my children know what can and cannot be done. I’m also fed up with constantly jumping at the explosions and smelling their urine. It’s summer now — they won’t freeze, they’ll cool down a bit, because the police are useless. And this “fixer” Bereh — simply a total disgrace. It’s a pity he didn’t show his heroic face,” — wrote Aliona.
Some city residents believe that the videographer’s intervention prevented the teenagers from realizing responsibility for their actions.
“Children have completely lost their fear! If the cameraman hadn’t intervened, maybe they would have realized that this behavior is unacceptable. But he instilled in them the confidence that they are not at fault, and this lesson will teach them nothing. And the man restrained himself from hitting them over the insults and the firecrackers,” — wrote one follower.
Another user drew attention to the fact that conflicts should be resolved by law enforcement:
“The police arrive, record the offense, question witnesses and collect evidence. Then they notify the parents, after which there should be punishment corresponding to the victim’s injuries. That’s it. A person who is not a witness or a relative and who obstructs the work should also be punished. Here’s the full picture: this is not a time for vigilante assistance. If it had been the other way around and a woman had been throwing firecrackers at children’s feet, a dozen ‘entitled mothers’ would have beaten her to death before the police arrived, because they are children,” — wrote Lelya.
“‘Bereh’, ‘Zavod’, ‘Paris’… Are the nineties coming back?” — commented Artur.
