For over 20 hours Russian forces attacked Dnipro in waves with missiles and drones, striking residential neighborhoods, businesses and civilian infrastructure. According to preliminary data, 6 people were killed in the city, another 47 were wounded, two of them are in serious condition. Ukrainian media reported these consequences citing the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Hanzhu.

Homes, businesses and cars came under attack. Some residents lost their homes after the enemy attack. Rescuers, medics, police, municipal services and all emergency units are working at the impact sites.

According to international media, Russia carried out one of the large-scale attacks on Ukraine, using hundreds of strike drones and missiles. The main strike fell, in particular, on Dnipro, where residential buildings and civilian facilities were destroyed or damaged.

Reports on the aftermath of the attack noted that rescue operations were ongoing at the sites of destruction, and the number of casualties could change. Later Ukrainian media, citing the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, reported an increase in the number of dead to 8, and the wounded – to 49.

It was reported separately that the Russians struck not only Dnipro. The districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region were also under enemy attacks, in particular Nikopolskyi and Synelnykivskyi. There are also casualties there, including children.

The government announced aid to Dnipro to address the consequences of the attack. This concerns support for people affected by the strikes, the restoration of damaged housing and the work of city services that are clearing rubble and helping residents after the night and day terror.

This attack once again showed Russia’s true aim: not military targets, but intimidating peaceful people. Missiles and drones struck neighborhoods where families lived, cars were parked, businesses operated and children slept. This is not “a coincidence” and not “a guidance error”, but a deliberate terror against Ukrainian cities.
