Massive Russian strike on Dnipro: 18 injured, including a 9-year-old boy; a four-story building partially destroyed

The combined raid lasted from 18:00 on April 24: air defenses shot down 30 missiles and 580 drones; impacts were recorded at 23 locations

On the night of April 25, from 18:00 on April 24, Russian forces carried out a massive combined attack on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure facilities, with the main strike hitting Dnipro. In the city and region 18 people were injured, including a 9-year-old boy.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy used strike drones and air-, sea- and ground-launched missiles. Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa and Kyiv regions were also shelled. In total, 47 missiles were launched and 619 UAVs were employed during this attack. Source: Ukrainian Air Force.

The Air Force clarified the preliminary results of the air defense operation as of 8:00.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:00, air defense shot down/neutralized 610 targets — 30 missiles and 580 various types of UAVs. Impacts of 13 missiles and 36 strike UAVs were recorded at 23 locations, and the fall of shot-down UAVs (fragments) was recorded at 9 locations

Enterprises were damaged. A four-story building was partially destroyed, and several apartment buildings and a private home were severely damaged

As of 8 a.m., according to the head of the administration, medics provided assistance to 18 victims, including a 9-year-old boy.

Eleven of them were hospitalized. A 26-year-old woman is in “serious” condition. The rest are in moderate condition
