Journalists “Slidstvo.Info” using the Instagram page of blogger Alina from Odesa traced luxurious real estate linked to the family of former employees of TCC and SP. The story concerns Bohdan Vaskevych, who, according to journalists, worked for at least 8 years in the district territorial recruitment and social support centers of Odesa and the region. Overall, journalists counted property belonging to the family and close circle of Arkadiy and Bohdan Vaskevych worth approximately 50 million hryvnias.

At the beginning of December 2025 the blogger published engagement photos. Judging by the location, the proposal may have taken place at the premium Lviv hotel-SPA complex Emily Resort, where the cheapest night in a room costs around 12 thousand hryvnias. In the girl’s profile, journalists also noticed joint photos with her fiancé on vacation in the Carpathians, in winter Lviv and in a lavender field. The man’s face in the pictures was covered with a heart, but that did not completely hide him.

Investigators say they were able to identify the man thanks to a distinctive tattoo on his arm. A similar tattoo is visible on photos of Bohdan Vaskevych with an uncovered face, which were previously published by official Odesa resources. As of October 2023 he was referred to there as the deputy military commissar of one of the district TCC and SP of Odesa.

Another clue was the elevator in a specific premium residential complex in Odesa, where Alina often took photos. From the State Register of Property Rights to Real Estate, journalists established that an apartment of 145 square meters and a parking space in this complex is owned by Ihor Rozhko — the uncle of Bohdan Vaskevych. Bohdan Vaskevych himself also, according to the investigation, appeared in the bride’s photos taken in that same elevator.

The extract from the register states that Ihor Rozhko bought the apartment 3 years ago for 5.5 million hryvnias. At the same time, similar apartments in this complex are now selling for about 20 million hryvnias, while the appraised value of the property in the documents is almost 11 million hryvnias — without renovation.

The building concierges told journalists that the new owner did a renovation from scratch. Interior photos found on Alina‘s page were shown to a designer for an approximate estimate. According to her, such a renovation could have cost about 237 thousand US dollars, or nearly 10 million hryvnias. Thus the apartment together with the finishes could have cost roughly 21 million hryvnias, or about half a million US dollars.

The biggest questions concern the origin of the money for such assets. According to the public declaration, Ihor Rozhko in 2016-2017 worked as a history teacher in the Odesa region with a small salary. According to a tax statement that “Slidstvo.Info” obtained from its sources, from 2000 to 2018 he earned 160 thousand hryvnias. Such official incomes, to say the least, are hard to reconcile with a premium apartment and renovations worth millions.

Journalists also reported that the family and close circle of the former military commissars Arkadiy and Bohdan Vaskevych were found to own in total 3 apartments, 6 cars, 2 parking spaces and a cottage by the sea. Some of this property is mentioned in a criminal proceeding by the DBR, opened in January 2025.

According to a court ruling, investigators from the DBR believe that Arkadiy Vaskevych, the senior former military commissar, may have organized a mechanism for obtaining funds in exchange for facilitating evasion from conscription during mobilization. After that, according to the investigation, he could have personally or by his instructions bought real estate and vehicles, registering them in the names of relatives and close associates.

The case materials also mention Bohdan Vaskevych. Investigators believe that, while serving as deputy head — head of the recruitment and staffing department, he may have entered false information into the declaration of a person authorized to perform state or local government functions. This concerns property that, according to the investigation, he used but did not declare.

Journalists were unable to obtain comments from the Vaskevychi — their phones did not answer for a long time. Alina also did not respond to questions sent via messenger. “Slidstvo.Info” stated that it is ready to publish the servicemen’s position if it receives a response.

This story once again shows why society reacts so painfully to corruption scandals around the TCC. While some Ukrainians are fighting or waiting for summonses, investigations repeatedly reveal elite apartments, expensive cars, hidden declarations, property registered to relatives, and questions to which officials and military officers often prefer not to answer.
