In the Kharkiv region, the occupiers shot four captured Ukrainian fighters: the prosecutor's office has opened a case
While Moscow talks about "silence", its soldiers are shooting prisoners of war
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, April 11, 2026 near the settlement of Veterynarne in the Kharkiv region Russian servicemen killed four Ukrainian prisoners of war. According to preliminary data, the occupiers entered the positions of Ukrainian defenders, took four fighters captive, and then deliberately shot them.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — cruel treatment of prisoners of war that caused deaths. Law enforcement officers say they are taking all necessary measures to establish the full picture of the crime and the Russian servicemen involved.
This is not the first case in which Russian forces are suspected of executing Ukrainian prisoners. That is why each such episode matters not only as an individual war crime, but also as part of a systematic practice that Ukraine is documenting for the future accountability of those responsible.
Bright memory to the fallen defenders of Ukraine.
