European officials see no evidence that Russia is preparing an attack on NATO

European officials currently have no evidence that Russia is preparing to attack NATO or the Baltic countries. This is reported by Bloomberg.

According to the agency, during the visit of CIA director John Ratcliffe to Moscow they may have discussed ending the war against Ukraine, NATO‘s Article 5 commitments in the event of a possible attack, as well as a war with Iran.

At the same time, no European official received details of that meeting from the U.S.. Officials’ assessments are based on their own intelligence and their understanding of Washington’s actions.

In recent months NATO allies have also discussed strengthening contacts with Russia in the intelligence and military spheres. This is intended to help reduce the risk of miscalculations and misunderstandings amid more frequent hybrid attacks and provocations.

Earlier it was reported that Russia attacked warehouses of the “Silpo”, “Aurora” and Comfy chains. In the Kyiv region, fires continue to be extinguished.
