Putin demands continued massive missile strikes on Ukraine
Gerasimov announced plans to attack strategically important bridges
President of Russia Vladimir Putin demanded that the Russian military command continue launching massive missile and other strikes against sites in Ukraine. The demand was made during a meeting with military officials, whose statements were reported by RBC-Ukraine.
At the same meeting, Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov outlined plans to attack Ukraine’s transport infrastructure. In particular, he said Russian forces would strike bridges of strategic importance.
Addressing the commanders of Russian troop groupings, Putin also demanded that they continue carrying out their tasks as part of the so-called “special military operation.” This is the official term used in Russia for its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
“Furthermore, of course, massive and coordinated strikes against facilities of the enemy’s military-industrial complex and logistics centers must continue,” Vladimir Putin said.
Thus, Russia’s leadership confirmed its intention to continue large-scale attacks on Ukrainian sites that Moscow itself classifies as part of the military industry and logistics infrastructure.
