For January–September 2026, auditors identified violations in the Mykolaiv region that resulted in the loss of financial and material resources worth more than UAH 357.5 million. UAH 112.5 million was recovered. These results were reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Office of the Southern Office of the State Audit Service of Ukraine.

During this period, specialists examined the use of resources worth a total of UAH 14.5 billion. In total, they carried out 317 audits, including:

15 financial inspections;
3 state financial audits;
288 procurement monitoring procedures;
11 procurement inspections.

In public procurement, violations totaling UAH 1.3 billion were identified separately. Following the monitoring, contracting authorities:

cancelled 15 tenders worth a total of UAH 181.8 million;
terminated 36 contracts worth UAH 93.6 million.

To ensure recovery of the identified losses, the inspection materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies. They served as grounds for opening 10 pre-trial investigations. Another 7 sets of materials were added to criminal proceedings that were already underway.

Separately, specialists from the State Audit Service took part in inspections requested by law enforcement as part of criminal investigations. These inspections revealed violations that resulted in losses of almost UAH 283 million. Following the investigations, 20 people were notified that they were suspected of committing criminal offenses.
