40 Homeowners’ Associations in Mykolaiv Have Taken Out Interest-Free Loans to Upgrade Their Buildings
Two more associations received support for elevators and a solar power plant
In Mykolaiv, on October 13, 2026, two more condominiums received support through the Revolving Fund. They are the 39th and 40th associations to apply to the fund. They can now upgrade their elevator equipment and increase the capacity of their solar power plant.
In total, 40 Mykolaiv condominium associations have already taken advantage of the opportunities offered by the Revolving Fund of the Energy-Efficient Cities of Ukraine Association. The program allows condominiums to obtain interest-free loans for energy-efficiency improvements and housing modernization.
The program reached this milestone through several stages:
- In late 2024, the Mykolaiv City Council adopted a resolution to join the program.
- In October 2025, the city contributed UAH 3 million to the fund. The first condominiums then began receiving interest-free loans.
- In March 2026, donors from the Government of the Swiss Confederation, through the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, provided an additional non-repayable contribution of UAH 1.5 million to support energy upgrades in Mykolaiv condominiums.
The city council noted the condominium associations’ own contribution to expanding the funding. Their responsible approach, timely loan repayments, and active participation have helped the program develop more rapidly.
Information about the program is available from the Energy Efficiency Center in Mykolaiv, at 7 Pavla Skoropadskoho Street. Contact number: 063 221 93 67.
