Young wrestlers from Mykolaiv win silver and bronze at an all-Ukrainian tournament

Young wrestlers from Mykolaiv, athletes at the municipal Children and Youth Sports School of Martial Arts, won two medals at the all-Ukrainian freestyle wrestling tournament BEST YOUNG WRESTLER 2026. The competition took place on October 7–9, 2026, in Khmelnytskyi.

The tournament was held for boys and girls in the U13 category and dedicated to the memory of the fallen Hero Police Officers of Ukraine.

The Mykolaiv athletes finished with the following results:

• Hanna Sakun — 2nd place and a silver medal.
• Alisa Boichuk — 3rd place and a bronze medal.

The wrestlers are coached by:

• Daryna Kurochkina;
• Mykola Chumachenko.
