Acorns for the hoofed animals: Mykolaiv Zoo asks residents for help
The collected amount can be left with the controllers, even if it’s only a small sum
Mykolaiv Zoo has called on Mykolaiv residents to help collect acorns for its animals. Acorns are a valuable dietary supplement for hoofed animals, helping to diversify their diet.
The acorn-gathering season has begun with the arrival of autumn. Residents are encouraged to collect acorns while walking in parks. Zoo staff welcome any help: people can bring in however many they manage to gather, as even a small amount will make a useful contribution to the animals’ food supplies.
The collected acorns can be handed over to the zoo’s staff at the entrance. The team thanks in advance everyone who responds to the appeal and helps replenish the feed stocks.
