Mykolaiv veteran Dmytro Sabin won gold and silver at the "Carpathian Challenge"

Veteran from Mykolaiv Dmytro Sabin won gold and silver at the third stage of the All-Ukrainian ranking tournament in adaptive sports “Carpathian Challenge”. The competition took place in Uzhhorod from October 2 to 4, 2026.

The tournament included war veterans, military personnel and people with disabilities as a result of the war. They competed for ranking points and the opportunity to make the national team of Ukraine.

Dmytro Sabin competed in the following disciplines:

• Rowing — 1st place: covered 376 meters in 1 minute.
• Kettlebell snatch with a 16 kg kettlebell — 2nd place with a result of 43 repetitions.
• Team relay — 4th place.
• Bench press with 55 kg — 6th place: completed 72 repetitions.

The team roster will be determined based on the results of all stages of the tournament. The best athletes will represent Ukraine at the European championship “International Adaptive Games”, which will be held in Lithuania in November 2026.
